We are excited for you to join the SACNAS at UO Student Chapter!

SACNAS at UO exists to create a supportive community of STEM students at the University of Oregon. SACNAS is the Society for Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science. Students of all backgrounds are welcome to join our community in support of this mission.

SACNAS at UO members participate in many types of STEM-related activities, including:

  • professional development events (résumé-writing workshops, networking activities, and workshops on getting involved in STEM research, crafting an “elevator talk” based on your research, etc.)
  • outreach with local middle schools and high schools
  • science-related fun and games
  • preparation for NDiSTEM (or other) conference attendance

Students interested in an executive board/leadership position in SACNAS should contact jprell@uoregon.edu for details on how to get involved.
